This unique custom work gives your modern Ruger the classic look of an 1880s Colt while still retaining all the modern safety features and reliability for which Ruger is famous.  The "Colterization" custom package consists of the following steps:

1.     The "warning" notice that comes roll-stamped on all Ruger revolver barrels is removed.  (If you don't know that guns can be dangerous, you're in the wrong sport.)

2.     The end of the ejector housing and the end of the barrel are rounded.  (Rugers come with sharp, square corners at these areas - these areas on Colts are rounded.)

3.     The front edge of the cylinder flute is rounded to match Colt's "black powder era" cylinders.

4.     The hammer is re-contoured by removing the "hump" between the hammer face and the thumb spout resulting in a much more attractive profile.

5.     Stainless steel guns are polished to a high luster finish that resembles a polished nickel-plated gun.

6.     Steel guns are "re-blued" to a blue/black finish, and the factory aluminum ejector housing is replaced with a steel housing and blued to match the rest of the pistol.

(If you are considering installing custom grips, this is the time to do that because they can be fitted on the grip frame before the finish work is done and will be a better fit.  Custom fitted grips and materials are p.o.r. [price on request] and Bob will be happy to help you choose the custom grips that are just right for you.)

Cost for all the above is:
Stainless Steel Gun $185.00
Blue Guns (includes re-blue and steel ejector housing) $265.00

The photo above will give you some idea, but you won't believe how much a Ruger can look like a Colt until you see one of these custom packages!  This is a process that Bob developed himself and we know of no one else offering this complete package.  People who have seen Bob's "Colterization" who don't know that the firearms are really Rugers have come up to Bob and exclaimed, "Nice pair of Colts!"  That's how good they look!  Call Bob at (714) 871-8171, fax us at (714) 871-8516 or email him at info@walker47.com today to make arrangements to have your Rugers "Colterized."
