Your belt size should be measured in one of two methods:

1.  Measure your old belt:
Lay a cartridge belt flat on a table.
Then measure from the buckle bar (tongue lays against this when
the belt is worn and buckled) to the other end of the belt to
whichever hole is most comfortable when the belt is worn.

2.  Tape Measure:
Wrap a tape measure around your waist at the level you wish to
wear your belt and pull snugly.

**REMEMBER**
YOUR WAIST SIZE IS NOT YOUR CARTRIDGE BELT SIZE

This is due to two factors:

  • Cartridge belts may be worn at an angle
or may be worn on the hips, not the waist
  • Cartridge belts may be worn over other belts
    or articles of clothing

Dave will make your belt to "size" at the second shortest hole in the billet.  This will allow the belt to "snug up" about 1" (with lighter clothing) and to "let out" about 4" (to fit over warmer clothing).
